A week at San Leonardo

There's so much to do in Centolo, Palinuro and the surrounding area. We've put together a whole week's worth of highlights for you to enjoy. Choose something new each day, or simply pick your favourites.

Monday

The beaches

Lie back and savour the golden sands and crystal clear waters. Our peaceful beaches are some of the best in southern Italy. Particular favourites are the beautiful La Marinella, a sandy and sheltered cove with a restaurant and sun loungers; the Port beach which gazes out at the pleasure boats; or the delightful Arco Naturale. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a boat ride to the breathtaking beaches of Cala Bianca, Buon Dormire and Baia Infreschi

.

Tuesday

The caves

Take a boat ride and explore the unique caves of Cilento National Park. Rich in dazzling minerals, these unique caverns are some of Italy’s best kept secrets and a real highlight.

Wednesday

The towns

Grab a coffee and take life in the slow lane. Sit in a piazza on market day, order a coffee and croissant and watch the world go by. The picturesque local town of Centola has views over the mountain to the sea, whilst Palinuro is a wonderful town on the coast. The historic Marina di Camerota is simply beautiful too. If you fancy something more lively, then nearby Salerno is great for shopping.

Thursday

Explore the local area

If you’re feeling active, there’s no better way to enjoy the gorgeous local scenery than hiring a mountain bike. A leisurely cycle is also a perfect way to work up your appetite.

Friday

Pasta course

It wouldn’t be Italy without good old-fashioned pasta. We’ll be delighted to give you a free course in how to make pasta the traditional way. And if you’re good you might land yourself with a job for the week!

Saturday

Cheesemaking course

Turn your hand to the age old art of cheesemaking. We’ll teach you how to make the creamiest goat’s cheese you’ve ever tasted. Best of all, you get to eat what you make!

Sunday

Agrizoo nature trails

Take a guided tour and get to know our lovely farm animals. We’ve reared them from birth, and to us they’re just part of the family. If you fancy helping us feed or milk them, then Cristian and Mauro would be delighted to show you how.
